As part of their task for a crucial final year project, a group of Social Work students of the University of Guyana yesterday endowed the Ivy Hall Home for Senior Citizens with a gesture of appreciation.The project was kicked into motion previously with the students rendering themselves to serve the seniors for a single day in whatever way was requested.The group, which comprises Shannon Christian, Shellon Purlett, Althea Tyndall,Jerseys From China, Natasha Dundas,China Soccer Jerseys, Joy Gravesande and Subrina Persaud,Jerseys NFL China, had together dedicated a day to caring for the physical desires of the nine residents of the home.“We were tasked, as a requirement for our project, to work with the elderly and we chose Ivy Hall Senior Citizens home. Working with them we found it very interesting. Some of the things that we were taught while there we never knew before,” said an elated Natasha Dundas yesterday as the group handed over the items.“We learnt about the things senior citizens like and we enjoyed that a lot…” she added.In addition to preparing breakfast and lunch, the group offered manicure and pedicure services as well as other measures of physical grooming to the seniors; an undertaking that did not go unappreciated.However, it was while they were engaged in their interaction at the home the group recognised that there were some needs that the home had. Among the needs was that for new kitchen utensils and the refurbishment of a kitchen cupboard.Having organised the way forward in meeting the obvious needs of the home, the group was able to solicit the support of Worrick Purlett,cheap jerseys from china, who at no cost to them (the group),NFL Jerseys China, refurbished the cupboard.
